Julia Payson is a Project Coordinator, on her 3rd mission with MSF, now working in Lae, Papua New Guinea. In 2006, Julia started her MSF adventures in the quiet country of Sudan as a Finance & Human Resources Administrator where she quickly fell in love with suspending disbelief and making it work regardless. Before heading to Khartoum, she worked for various non-profit organisations in Canada, and had volunteered overseas with a human rights organisation. Despite practical minded advice, as a young’un Julia decided to get a degree in gender studies and international relations. Now her student debt load is finally worth it as somehow all of this has come together in her current position, coordinating a sexual violence health program abroad! She is also known to be a bit lazy, which is why this bio looks so much like her last one.
