TB blogger

Our TB bloggers are people who have a form of drug-resistant tuberculosis, a bacterial infection that commonly affects the lungs. On the TB & Me blog, they are sharing their experiences of life with the disease.

Standard treatment for multi- and extensively drug resistant TB is long and difficult – patients must take up to twenty pills a day, for up to two years. The medication has high levels of toxicity, and side-effects can be severe.

With honesty, humour and courage, the TB bloggers on this site are sharing their stories. They highlight the urgent need for an increase in research and development of new drugs for tuberculosis, and better access to treatment and diagnosis.
