Located at the heart of the Himalayas, Nepal is home to 29 million people. In 2015, the country was hit by two devastating earthquakes. An estimated 8,500 people were killed and another 20,000 were injured.

Médecins Sans Frontières/Doctors Without Borders (MSF) teams responded fast and were already on the ground when the second earthquake hit. The focus was on reaching people living in remote mountainous areas. We set up inflatable hospitals and tent clinics and provided shelter and sanitation.
