Víctor Escobar Hernández is a doctor from Colombia, currently working with Médecins Sans Frontières / Doctors Without Borders (MSF).
He has extensive experience, having been on assignment in Yemen, South Sudan, Mexico, Colombia. He recently returned from Sierra Leone, where he was the head of mission - responsible for directing all MSF activities within the country.
Sierra Leone has one of the highest mother-child mortality rates in the world, as well as a health system that is still recovering following the 2014 West Africa Ebola epidemic.
