One of the things I have learnt in my role as medical team leader is to drink tea.
“Really?”, you think. Yes, drinking an endless amount of cups of tea.
Litres, in fact! With the nurses, the guys from the lab, the pharmacists, the obstetricians, the cleaners, the drivers, the logisticians. But also with the traditional healers, the local authorities, the village elders, the police chief and the army’s colonel.

Every cup of tea brings new things to light: the latest news, what’s going on in the community, etc.
This information is very valuable. It’s information that I process in the many decisions we have to take each day to ensure our medical program runs as well as possibly.
It’s a good thing I’ve always been a tea lover!
