I’m 31 years old and from Switzerland, I grew up in the German part but am now living in the French part, in Lausanne. After having worked many years in the Marketing and Sales departments of big multinational companies, I decided to embark on a new journey with MSF to do something useful. I am now a Finance & HR Manager for the MSF project in Bekaa, Lebanon.
I did an MBA in Business Administration, so working in Finance and HR isn’t new to me. While the combination might look odd, I’m happy to have both fields, as the analytical part of finance with its numbers and Excel-sheets counterbalances the daily challenges of HR with people management.
This is my first mission with MSF. The Bekaa project focuses on providing health care for Syrian refugees in the area (mainly primary health care, non-communicable diseases and sexual reproductive health).
There are four clinics in total, in Hermel, Arsal, Baalbek and Majdal Anjar and two Mother and Child Centres in Arsal and Majdal Anjar. We have about 150 national employees, working in the medical, paramedical, logistic and administrative fields.
