My name is Natalie and I am a half-Italian half-English midwife born in the Netherlands.
After having worked in Italy, the UK and three consecutive years of working with MSF I have now decided that I want to go back to my roots and am moving back to the Netherlands following my mission in Chad.
Following a degree in Film and Television and two years of working in that world I decided that it was not for me. Working with MSF had been a dream for a while and although I didn’t choose to become a midwife because of that it certainly did have some influence on my choice of studies.
I’ve given a lot in these three years but I have also learned so much from the variety of interesting people I have met and worked with. I have been lucky to have had the opportunity to look after so many different women and their babies in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Pakistan, Haiti, South Sudan, Iraq and Chad.
