This coming Wednesday – October 29 – MSF will hold a panel discussion at the San Diego Natural History Musem in advance of the Refugee Camp in the Heart of the City exhibition which will be at Balboa Park November 6-9.
Four MSF field workers–Lorena Bilbao, Mary Jo Frawley, Alan Hickey, and Sandra Freiwald–will discuss their diverse experiences in the field and MSF’s current activities and concerns. The talk will be moderated by NPR anchor and news producer Alison St John and audience Q&A will follow.
Lorena, one of our panelists, is a Program Officer in the MSF-USA office in New York, managing advocacy efforts by liasing with the U.S. government and other aid organizations. Listen to her describe what she does, and her most recent advocacy efforts around the Somali region of Ethiopia.
