Delivering Babies in Haiti

MSF nurse Michelle Belletete worked at Jude Anne Hospital, in an obstetrics program in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, for high-risk pregnancies. Once the free program became well-known, it became constantly inundated with pregnant women trying to get into the program, some desperately in need of help for complications or already well into labor.

"Stepping over people, trying to make my way through the crowds to get into the hospital in the morning, it was as close to a refugee camp as I've come," Michelle says.
