December 21st marked 40 years since Medecins San Frontieres (Doctors Without Borders) started its activities and I would like to send my greetings and thanks to all the patients and employees of the organization.
I imagine how many people have recovered, found hope and optimism over the last 40 years. I am one of those people and I cannot resist the desire to speak out about the huge volume of work carried out by MSF. It is us, the patients, who directly feel the efforts of the organisation.
I remember the New Year atmosphere in our family two years ago. My health and the way I felt were terrible, and my mother, who could see all of that, went to the kitchen and cried there so that I wouldn’t see her tears (I had already refused taking the drugs and stopped my treatment by then).
Today everything is different! Winter holidays are coming again but there is one difference i.e. I feel much much better and have endless expectations from the future. I am very active and full of positive energy. And all of this is possible thanks to MSF, whom I love very much.
I am very grateful for the vast volume of work that it carrys out.
Happy New Year and Merry Christmas to all of you!!!!!!
With love and best regards,
