Maman Karsou first joined Médecins Sans Frontières / Doctors Without Borders (MSF) after he received his medical degree back in 2008, then working at a project in his hometown of Magaria in Niger.
He has since joined international emergency responses in Nigeria, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Burkina Faso and Cameroon.
Most recently, in June 2021, he coordinated a mass vaccination campaign to protect children in Niger against measles and meningitis.
