In the beginning here in Mumbai, I was staying with my sister and her family, and was contributing to their household earnings. Afterwards they discovered that I was sick with HIV and TB, and that I was also not following my treatment regularly, like I should.
So, I had to move with my wife and daughter here to this house. They came from our home in Bihar to be with me, but things became difficult with my wife, and she didn’t want to stay anymore.
I returned to stay with my sister’s family, but I had difficulties adhering to treatment. My sister complained about this, and because of it we started to have fights. MSF nurses have now told me how to take the medication in the correct way, but my sister still comes round here to fight with me and that’s upsetting. I want to have a good relationship with her, but still she is giving me trouble. So, now I am staying alone in this house.
I am renting this small house, and the owner is supportive of me. My sister helped me find it and she is paying the rent and therefore she is saying that I should obey her. I don’t like it when she says this to me.
