Jennifer Tong is an orthopaedic surgeon from Hong Kong.
In 2016, she spent two months on assignment at MSF’s trauma centre in Kunduz, Afghanistan – the only medical facility of its kind in the northeast of the country – providing emergency life and limb-saving care.
Jennifer then decided to devote one year to humanitarian work.
In 2018, from January to April, she worked at MSF’s Tabarre trauma centre in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti.
Then, from July to September, she went to Gaza, in Occupied Palestinian territory, where she provided treatment and post-operative care to people injured in the “March of Return”.
Most recently, Jennifer spent another two months with MSF in Iraq.
