Imran is a water and sanitation specialist working in the Jamam refugee camp, South Sudan.
This is Imran’s second emergency mission with MSF, the first having been during the Indus River floods in Pakistan in 2010.
Originally from Toronto, Canada, Imran recently completed his PhD in Environmental Engineering, on safe water and public health in low-income, marginalized urban/peri-urban communities in India. His previous experiences also include post-tsunami groundwater rehabilitation in Sri Lanka and environmental extension work in rural Bolivia.
