As I said before, if you have TB you have similar symptoms to HIV... that is true. Serious coughing and the months of side effects an HIV patient has, a TB patient also has. But the only thing that really indicates HIV is when you have your blood tested and the doctor comes back with the results.
To my knowledge TB is not a new thing, because generations and generations have suffered from it and it is among the most serious diseases in Uganda. Bad enough that TB is already connected in people’s minds with HIV. That’s why, the majority of people suspect that if a patient has TB, then they already have HIV. I know that TB is a disease in itself, so don’t worry if you have TB, don’t get scared that you are already HIV positive. Go to the hospital, test your blood and they will confirm how you are.
