I don’t feel well at the moment, my illness is getting worse and worse as I haven’t had any medicine for some time. At night, I cough a lot and my sputum is white. I cannot sleep, my entire body is making me suffer, especially at the level of my thorax and throat. I have a fever.
Sometimes, I cough for five to 10 minutes without being able to stop. In order to bring down the fever, someone soaks a wet towel and wraps me inside.
I ask the doctors to give me antibiotics, if only to appease the thoracic pain and to give me some relief while I wait for the medication to treat the tuberculosis to arrive.
My family is starting to get worried and is asking itself why the doctors have no longer come to visit ever since my stock of medications ran out. They also are scared to administer any medicine that could offer me relief.
I ask the doctors to send me the medication they promised me and that should have arrived in February. I don’t know if I can hang on much longer, but I pray to God to continue to give me the strength.
