I am currently working as a pediatrician in Khost, Afghanistan. MSF is running a maternity ward here and I am happy to be working within a great team in the neonatology ward. Every day between 40-60 babies are born in our ward. Together we fight for the survival of sick newborn and premature babies.
I am a German ex-pat and this is my first mission with MSF. Though I have been working with other NGO´s in countries such as India, Ecuador and The Gambia, I would like to continue working with MSF, as it is unique organisation with high standards of professionalism, medical ethics and political independence.
