I am Elizabeth Irungu, medical doctor by profession. I am from Kenya but I am currently working as medical activities manager in a non-communicable disease (NCD) project in Zimbabwe. The project uses a nurse-led approach for offering comprehensive medical care to patients with chronic conditions and utilizes a mentoring approach.
Previously, I worked as a medical doctor in the prisons project in Malawi, that was mainly involved in HIV, TB, hepatitis B and lots of advocacy issues for prisoners and migrants.
I have had exposure to the health care systems in Kenya, Uganda, Malawi and Zimbabwe. I intend to save mankind for as long as my mind is active and I have strength in my bones to walk upright and smile as I meander to find my path in this world.
