I'm Daniela, and by working with MSF I am fulfilling a longtime dream. Since early January I am on my second MSF assignment. This time I work in Sierra Leone.
The Ebola outbreak in Sierra Leone is over. But a lot of health workers died during the epidemic. So, the health system has been severely impacted and if people search for help to get treatment for Malaria, respiratory infections or if women want to find a place for a safe birth they can hardly find it. MSF will continue its medical help in Sierra Leone as long as it is needed. I am happy to be part of this! In Magburaka where I work MSF supports the obstetrics and the children's department of the Ministry of Health hospital since January 2016.
Before my work with MSF, I worked at the Kiel University Clinic, in which I have completed my apprenticeship as a nurse in 1998.
