I have shifted to a new house. My aunt’s house is being repaired, so they asked me to move out to a new one room house in Muolnom village near Churchandpur town. This house also belongs to my aunt.
The house is made up of plywood with a tin roof, and overlooks green fields of rice. The village is very calm and peaceful.
My mother has come from the village to take care of me. But soon, my daughter will join. She was working as a house maid in Nagaland, but agreed to come here to look after me. She dropped out of school sometime back. When she comes my mother will leave. I very excited to see her.
Initially I was sad to leave my aunt’s house. But now, I feel at peace. I am free here. I can do what I like; I can eat what I want.
In my aunt’s house, children made a lot of noise and I couldn’t choose what I wanted to eat. I always felt embarrassed to go to the kitchen or watch TV with the family.
Sometimes, when I feel better, I even go to fetch water from the well because we don’t have running water here.
