My name is Ana Nery and I am a medical doctor from Brazil.
As an emergency medical coordinator, my job is to understand the medical needs and existing health structures during a particular crisis, and to formulate and supervise MSF's medical response.
I have been working with MSF since 2014, and I have been involved in major emergency responses in places like Iraq, Yemen, Ethiopia and Gaza.
Before joining Médecins Sans Frontières / Doctors Without Borders (MSF), I worked in emergency medicine in impoverished communities in Brazil. I have always been interested in innovative ways of delivering quality healthcare and in challenging environments.
