A small country in the Middle East, Jordan enjoys political stability and considerable influence in the region.
Since 2011, civil war in neighbouring Syria has seen hundreds of thousands of refugees cross the border into Jordan. Lack of proper legal documentation, financial constraints and border closures mean that their access to healthcare is extremely limited.
Médecins Sans Frontières/Doctors Without Borders (MSF) first started working in Jordan in 2006. Our projects have focused on providing medical care for refugees, vulnerable Jordanians and people injured in armed conflict.
