I had a bad cough. I went to the TB hospital in Nagaland. After the tests they told me I had TB. It has been six years now that I have had TB.

I was under treatment but stopped after four months.

Then I came to Manipur. At the District Hospital in Churchandpur, I took one course of treatment but left the treatment during the second course.

I also went to private doctors many times to get treatment. I have been taking medicines for TB now for almost six years. I also took one course treatment at the MSF Tuining clinic. Still it was not cured. And then I came here, to Churchandpur, for MDR TB treatment. It is now 12 months since I have been taking this treatment.

At Tuining, after finishing one course, there was an MSF doctor who told me that I had MDR TB. That was in July 2010. Since August, I have been taking MDR TB treatment.

Here, I live with the family. I live very carefully. I don’t cough in front of people. If I have to, I do it in a different place. I don’t let children come near me.

I am not very happy. I am afraid to go near people. It hurts me.

I would like to say many things but my mind does not work very well. Till now I have not shared this with anyone. When I get better, I will share.

  1. Many blessings to you, and I hope you! I am sorry to hear you are having to deal with such a difficult illness. Have you seen or heard about using moxa, a traditional chinese topical herbal medicine that you burn on the surface of your skin, for TB? Check out: http://www.moxafrica.org/ for information on how this works. I wish you the very best, you will be in my prayers.
