Landscape of Complexo do Alemão, a conglomerate of 11 communities in the outskirts of Rio, with an estimated total population of 150,000. In this poor area of Rio de Janeiro controlled by armed drug-dealers, MSF provides emergency care and psychosocial support to the population trapped by violence.
