The road to Balakot, Pakistan – April 2006
On October 8, 2005, a devastating earthquake hit the northern part of Pakistan. With the death toll around ninety thousand and the casualties in the hundreds of thousands, it was a catastrophe never before seen in this region. Six months later, 3 million people were still left homeless.

Le 8 octobre 2005, un séisme dévastateur frappa le nord du Pakistan, faisant autour de quatre-vingt-dix mille morts et des centaines de milliers de blessés. On n’avait vu une telle catastrophe dans cette région avant. Six mois plus tard, trois millions de gens étaient toujours sans abri.
