In 1996, MSF started an aid programme in the Cuban capital Havana in response to a request from the Cuban Ministry of Public Health. The objective of the prevention and information project is to give information about HIV/AIDS and sexually transmitted diseases to young people between the ages of 15 and 24, and to encourage people to use condoms in order to reduce the transmission of these diseases.

En 1996, MSF a lancé un programme d’aide à La Havane, la capitale cubaine, en réponse à une demande du ministère de la Santé publique cubain. L’objectif du projet de prévention et d’information est d’informer les jeunes de 15 à 24 ans au sujet du VIH/sida et des maladies sexuellement transmissibles, et d’encourager l’utilisation de condoms afin de réduire l’incidence de ces maladies.
