Dr. Wendy Lai

Dr. Wendy Lai is on her third mission with MSF in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, with the emergency team following the January 2010 earthquake. Wendy is working as a general doctor in the orthopedics hospital in Carrefour, where they are doing orthopedic surgery, skin grafts, physiotherapy and rehabilitation.

Wendy has worked in other MSF field missions. In 2009 she was in Port-au-Prince, working in emergency obstetrics and the transfer of our hospital from Jude Anne to Maternité Solidarité. Previously, she worked in a primary health care project in Shabunda, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). At home in Toronto, Wendy is a family and emergency room physician.
