Dr Tor Deng is a general practitioner. After graduating from medical school in Khartoum, he decided to come back to Abyei, where he's originally from. Abyei is a disputed region which lies between Sudan and South Sudan. Tor has worked for MSF since January 2016, and is currently part of the infectious disease unit in Agok Hospital, where the focus is primarily on HIV and tuberculosis.

- Ruslan lives in one of the villages in Donetsk Region, in eastern Ukraine. His family name is Lysiura and he is 37-years-old. He was treated by MSF for drug-resistant TB in a pre-detention centre from February 2016 and since May 2016 an MSF medical team (including a doctor, nurse, social worker and psychologist) supports him in his treatment in the civil sector.Ruslan's course of treatment won’t finish until at least December 2017.

Leonardo Palumbo is a Regional Advocacy Manager for Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF). He supports MSF teams in Central Asia with medical advocacy and brings the latest evidence on tuberculosis and HIV into the policy-making process. Leonardo has a background in global health and European public health, and completed his Masters at the University of Kent.
Johanna Lönn is a nurse on her first assignment with Médecins Sans Frontières/Doctors Without Borders (MSF).
For seven months she'll be managing a tuberculosis department at the hospital in a refugee camp in Bentiu, South Sudan.
The hospital is the only health centre in the camp.
