Heather Gottlieb is an obstetrician/gynaecologist born and raised in Montreal, Quebec. She obtained her medical degree from McGill University where she developed a love for global health. She went on to complete her residency in Calgary, Alberta and spent four months of her training in Kenya and South Africa. She currently works in a small mountain community in British Columbia.
In 2015, she joined her first MSF mission in Pakistan and has since worked with MSF in Nigeria and Afghanistan. In her free time, she enjoys self-supported cycling adventures and backcountry skiing.
