Heather Gottlieb is an obstetrician/gynaecologist born and raised in Montreal, Quebec. She obtained her medical degree from McGill University where she developed a love for global health. She went on to complete her residency in Calgary, Alberta and spent four months of her training in Kenya and South Africa. Heather currently works in a small mountain community in British Columbia.
In 2015, Heather joined her first MSF mission in Peshawar, Pakistan and is currently on her second mission in Jahun, Nigeria. In her free time, she enjoys self-supported cycling adventures and backcountry skiing depending on the season. She has recently taken up badminton, the official sport of the Jahun project.
