Biography: Annas Alamudi

I am a 32 year old Indonesian Scot, or Scottish Indonesian, depending on what time of the day it is, and hail from London, Glasgow or Jakarta. This leads to an apparently extremely confusing accent, that is only overshadowed by my laugh, which I have been told is reminiscent of Count von Count from Sesame Street.

Before joining MSF, I was a human rights activist, university dropout, journalist, bar man, university graduate, and pizza boy, not necessarily in that order. This is my third mission with MSF, and have been variously a logistician, logistician/administrator, or administrator in Kashmir, Liberia and now Zimbabwe.

In my spare time, I enjoy sailing, rock climbing, and jumping out of perfectly good airplanes. Other interests include amateur radio, playing computer games, and watching cartoons, all which are accepted by the people around me, providing that I must never again speak to them in morse code.

My attempts to propagate rock and heavy metal around the world have so far been met with limited success.

For my sins, I support Partick Thistle, the only team in Glasgow.

    hello Annas

Do you remember showing us around Jakarta in 1997? I’m alex hudson, the son of your mothers friend roz. Your mum came for dinner recently when she was in London and she told me about the work you do I was v imnpressed. I am running the Paris marathon in April and have decided to support MSF. I am doing a campaign at school and in order to raise as much money as possible it would be great to have some personal anecdotes. if you have a spare min or you direct me to some where where i could find out more info about your work.

    cheers

    alex
